Child Safety Standards
Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Last updated: July 2026
These standards apply to the The Dinner Club mobile app and to thedinnerclub.eu, operated by The Dinner Club, registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KvK number: 42206814).
Zero tolerance for CSAE
The Dinner Club has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We prohibit any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or grooms a minor — in profiles, dinner listings, reviews, messages, or at any dinner arranged through the platform. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is illegal and is never tolerated in any form.
An adults-only platform
The Dinner Club is exclusively for adults. Every account must pass a date-of-birth check confirming the user is 18 or older before completing sign-up, enforced both in the app and on our servers. If we become aware of an account belonging to someone under 18, we remove it.
In-app reporting and blocking
Anyone can report a profile, dinner, or review directly in the app using the Report option (reasons include harassment, safety concern, and inappropriate content), and can block any user. Reports are confidential and go straight to our moderation team.
Enforcement
Every report is reviewed by our moderation team, which can remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts. Where a report involves suspected CSAE, we act immediately: the account is removed from the platform, relevant evidence is preserved, and the case is reported to the appropriate authorities and law enforcement.
Compliance with child safety laws
We comply with applicable child safety laws, including our obligations to report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
Child safety point of contact
Questions or concerns about child safety on The Dinner Club — including from authorities, researchers, and app store reviewers — can be directed to our designated child safety contact at hello@thedinnerclub.eu. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first.
